2025年10月17日，第三届天辅最佳学生论文奖在西安交通大学举行的“第十届‘逻辑、理性与互动’国际会议”（LORI-10）上隆重颁发。中山大学王译恒与彭玉两位同学合作的论文“Finite Model Property in Normal Extensions of Euclidean Quasi-Boolean Modal Logics”获天辅最佳学生论文奖。西南大学逻辑与智能研究中心熊作军副教授受LORI-10组委会邀请，代表基金管理委员会宣读了颁奖词，并与大会主席Valentin Goranko 教授一起为获奖学生颁发了证书与奖金。熊作军副教授介绍了苏天辅教育基金的基本情况、简要回顾了苏天辅教授的生平事迹，陈述了苏天辅教育基金为推动中国逻辑学事业的发展做出的贡献与实践，并历数了往届获奖学生与论文，对新获奖学生表达了最诚挚的祝福。

Good afternoon, everyone.
It is a real pleasure to be here and to introduce the LORI Tianfu Best Student Paper Award, which we are proudly presenting for the third time.
The award is supported by the Su Tianfu Fund, a lasting tribute to the esteemed Chinese logician, Professor Su Tianfu. This fund operates under the Southwest University Education Foundation and it’s an open fund that welcomes support from everyone. A dedicated management committee selects the students who present the best papers at major conferences like LORI. So, this award is truly an investment in the future of our field.
Now, you might be wondering, who was Professor Su Tianfu? Let me share a little about the remarkable scholar behind this fund. Professor Su, born in 1922, began his own journey in logic in 1949 as a graduate student at Tsinghua University, where he studied under the legendary philosopher, Professor Jin Yuelin. After graduating, in 1956, he moved to Southwest University, where he spent the rest of his career and was instrumental in building its philosophy department from the ground up.
He was a leader in many roles—Department Head, Research Center Director—and his influence reached far beyond his own university, serving as an advisor to the Chinese Society of Logic. But perhaps his greatest passion was making logic accessible to everyone. For decades, starting in 1984, his lectures were broadcast across China, reaching hundreds of thousands of students every year. He was a dedicated teacher who nurtured a new generation of logicians. After he passed away in 2017, his family and students created this fund to continue his life's work, supporting young scholars just as he always did.
This legacy of supporting young talent is what we celebrate with this award. Let's take a quick moment to recognize the brilliant students who have won it before. The very first Tianfu Best Student Paper Award in 2021 went to Xun Wang from Peking University for her work on completeness theorems in fragments of first-order modal logic (Here, in Xi’an). Last time, in 2023, at LORI-IX (ninth) in Shandong University, the second award was presented to another Peking University student, Bo Hong, for his innovative paper "Knowing a value of a predicate." They have set a wonderfully high standard, and we are excited to see this tradition continue today.
Now, I am honored to announce that the third LORI Tianfu Best Student Papar Award goes to Yiheng Wang and Yu Peng from Sun Yat-sen University, for the work of Finite Model Property in Normal Extensions of Euclidean Quasi-Boolean Modal Logics.
